All objects in the liberated territories that require and are subject to restoration are included in the plan, the press service reported Ministry of Construction. Earlier, the head of the department, Irek Faizullin, said that there are no plans to restore Popasnaya in the LPR.
The department’s press service noted that it was reporting this “in connection with the dissemination in the media of information about the absence of plans by the Russian Ministry of Construction to restore some cities in new regions of Russia.” Restoration work, according to the department, is taking place in several stages. In settlements “the liberation of which occurred relatively recently,” primary surveys are now underway (the initial stage of the restoration process).
“In total, more than 6 thousand objects are planned to be restored in 2023, including taking into account preparations for the autumn-winter period. The process includes: inspection, verification, repair, organization of the functioning of various networks and equipment,” the ministry reports.
Previously, the head of the Ministry of Construction Irek Fayzullin admittedthat some cities destroyed as a result of battles in regions annexed to Russia will not be restored. According to him, they will not restore, for example, Popasnaya in the north of the Lugansk People’s Republic, of which “nothing remains.” The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, previously said that the authorities are inclined to not restore Popasnaya.
