The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities (Minstroy), in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development (Mintsifry), are launching state-owned neighborhood chats on the VK Messenger platform.
These chats are integrated into the Gosuslugi.Dom application. According to representatives of the Ministry of Construction, they are designed to become a single window for resolving issues of residents.
A pilot project of neighbor chats is already available to apartment owners in several regions, including Arkhangelsk, Kaluga, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as St. Petersburg and KhMAO.
Representatives of VKontakte, in a commentary for Izvestia, noted that the company welcomes the development of interaction in industry and thematic communities, including the housing and communal services sector.
Analyst of the “People’s Front” Pavel Sklyanchuk emphasized that at present, residents of apartment buildings create chats in foreign messengers. However, in his opinion, such chats do not guarantee the security of personal data. In addition, they can be used to spread false information, and correspondence with representatives of management companies has no legal status.
Last year, the Kommersant newspaper reported that officials planned to transfer their correspondence from foreign services to the VK messenger.
