On Sunday, April 9, the final stage of the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing took place in the Murmansk region. The start of the event was given by the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin and the head of the region Andrey Chibis. They also held an awards ceremony.
The race was held on the tracks of the Tirvas ski complex in Kirovsk. The sporting event has become an important event for the entire region. It was held at the level of world races at all stages from the organization to the actual race.

Also, the governor of the Kola Arctic region emphasized that the race fit perfectly into the plan for the development of sports in the region. In 2023, 1.6 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of such tasks.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that a swimmer from the Murmansk region appropriated the title of “Honored Master of Sports of Russia”.
