Media: Boris Johnson and Maduro held secret talks on Ukraine

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro held talks on Ukraine, The Guardian writes.

It is noted that Johnson himself flew to Caracas, and the negotiations were supposed to be secret. It is indicated that the former British prime minister flew to Venezuela from the Dominican Republic, where he was on vacation.

Johnson spent less than 24 hours in Venezuela. It is indicated that the topic of the negotiations was supposedly possible supplies of weapons from Venezuela to the Russian Federation and other support for the Russian Northern Military District.

Politicians also reportedly discussed the potential normalization of relations between Venezuela and the UK. The Guardian notes that London refuses to consider Maduro the legitimate leader of Venezuela for all 11 years of his rule.

Previously, Maduro said that the West is losing to Russia in Ukraine. The Venezuelan leader also noted that Western countries do not want to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
