On Sunday, March 10, the Mayor’s Cup in cross-country skiing was held in Omsk for the sixteenth time. 450 participants took to the start, the youngest of them was barely six years old.
Omsk Mayor Sergei Shelest took part in the opening ceremony of the competition, which took place at the ski base of the Omsk Agrarian University. And also in rewarding skiers of the younger age category.
In his Telegram channel, the mayor noted that the tradition of holding the Mayor’s Cup will be continued.
“I hope that from year to year more and more Omsk residents will take part in it, because this is a great way to recharge with energy, good mood and test your own strength,” – wrote Sergei Shelest.
Let us remind you that yesterday in Omsk there was also a children’s hockey tournament “G-Drive Cup”. The start of the competition was given by the world champion in endurance racing in the LMP2 class Roman Rusinov and the mayor of Omsk Sergey Shelest.
