The Mayor’s Cup in army hand-to-hand combat was held in Veliky Novgorod

On Saturday, April 6, at school No. 36 there was a competition in army hand-to-hand combat for the Cup of the Mayor of Veliky Novgorod. The mayor of the city, Alexander Rozbaum, spoke about this on his VKontakte page.
About 200 children from 8 to 17 years old took part in the tournament. At the opening, Rozbaum wished the athletes good luck, mutual respect and fair victories.
Based on the results of the competition, several dozen sets of awards were raffled off. Some athletes were awarded special prizes “For the best technique”, “For the fastest fight” and “For the will to win”.
Alexander Rozbaum noted that such competitions are important for the patriotic education of young people, the formation of a sports spirit and self-confidence.
