The mayor of Zheleznovodsk, Evgeny Bakulin, published a video message to tourists on his Telegram channel, in which he said that he had noticed one strange thing – vacationers were eating Zheleznovodsk chestnuts.

He picked up one of the fruits lying on the stairs, showed it to the camera and said: “You see, this is a shock for me. Our chestnuts, as far as I know, are inedible.”

The mayor added that the chestnuts lying on the stone stairs leading to the resort park are wild. “You don’t need to eat them, chew them, or taste them,” he noted.

Later in the interview publication “Rise” Evgeniy Bakulin stated that he personally explained to tourists who were lifting chestnuts on the stairs that there was no need to eat them. According to him, this happened more than once, and his deputy also encountered similar things.

“We didn’t plan to hang banners directly, but we thought about information through the Smart City,” he added.
