New refrigeration units will improve the quality of ice at the Yubileiny Sports Palace. The head of Voronezh, Vadim Kstenin, spoke about this on October 12 in his telegram channel.
Major renovations are in full swing at Yubileiny. The façade of the building has been changed and work is now underway in more than 40 rooms of the palace, including showers, locker rooms and toilets. But the main victory of the builders is that they managed to install the huge fans for the new ice generator in time.
– The work is complex and requires not only the skill of the contractor, but also favorable weather conditions. Everything worked out, very soon we will launch the modern, even more powerful, energy efficient and quiet “heart” of the ice palace. Residents of the house next to the sports complex will become more comfortable,” Vadim Yuryevich emphasized. – The main reason for this work was to improve the quality of the ice. And after the completion of the entire scope of repairs planned for this year, the conditions for training and matches of Buran, the main hockey team in Voronezh, and, of course, young ice athletes will improve.
On October 13, the October home series of Buran matches starts in Voronezh. Fans of rival teams will come to our city. The contractor works in such a way that the renovation of the ice palace does not interfere with either athletes or spectators. More than 40 rooms are currently being updated, including locker rooms, showers, and toilets. For example, there is no trace left of the 1986-style bathrooms. In public areas, the electrical system, water supply system, drainage system, plumbing and interior decoration were changed. The tiling work has been completed and communications are being installed.
Mayor Vadim Kstenin wished the team good luck and noted the success of Buran
“The Hurricanes are showing great results this season. The beautiful game attracts more and more attention to hockey, and more and more spectators to Yubileiny. We should not be ashamed of the main arena of Voronezh,” the head of the city emphasized.
Vadim Kstenin also shared that with the support of Governor Alexander Gusev, funds will be invested in further renovation of the palace next year.
