The head of Nizhny Tagil, Vladislav Pinaev, said that the beating of an 11-year-old girl by her classmates was an ordinary event. Video with the mayor’s statement in his Telegram channel published by State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein.

“An ordinary event, we fought at school every day, came home with black eyes. But how our story was promoted – on the issue of nationality, although this was not there, an ordinary children’s conflict, and nothing more. They promoted it like this – 290 comments from Ukrainian accounts,” said Vladislav Pinaev.

Incident happened December 29 in front of school No. 56 in Nizhny Tagil. Two brothers, 11 and 12 years old, beat an 11-year-old classmate, after which she needed hospitalization. Then it became known that the prosecutor’s office would check the information that the teenagers’ mother allegedly stood nearby during this and filmed what was happening on her phone. According to media reports, the children were from Azerbaijan.

Investigators of the Tagilstroevsky district opened a criminal case under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). Regarding the 38-year-old mother of sons who beat a fifth-grader, aroused criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism) and Part 4 of Art. 150 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (involving a minor in committing a serious crime), as well as under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence).

“I do not specifically focus on the nationality of the offenders, because in the current situation it does not play any role. You can’t beat the weak, especially women. These simple rules have no nationality or citizenship,” Mr. Khinshtein responded on his social networks to the statements of the Ural mayor.
