The mayor of Horlivka announced the shelling of the plant for the production of nitric acid from Ukraine

Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko declaredthat the armed forces of Ukraine (APU) on the night of March 27 fired at the local industrial enterprise “Stirol”. According to him, as a result, the shop for the production of nitric acid, the flare stack and the office building of the power supply shop were damaged.
Mr. Prikhodko also published in his Telegram channel photographs of the aftermath of the shelling. They show an administrative building with a damaged roof and walls, as well as broken windows, and a shell crater.
Stirol is a major producer of mineral fertilizers. The plant produces ammonia, ammonium nitrate, polystyrene, lysol, urea. The company has been under the control of the DPR since 2014.
