Russian pranksters have published a report on their conversation with the mayor of Berlin, Franziska Giffay, whom they told that her interlocutor was her Kyiv colleague Vitali Klitschko. Among the topics proposed for comment by the head of the Berlin administration were the embezzlement of humanitarian aid and the placement of Ukrainian refugees in the German capital.
It is reported that the prankster, who introduced himself as Klitschko, thanked his colleague for the humanitarian aid provided by the EU, but noted that part of it in Ukraine was plundered. In response to this, the burgomaster did not show surprise and expressed the hope that those who stole it would benefit from the help.
“I hope that those who appropriated it will still send it to help at least some people,” she said, promising that Berlin would continue to support the country and Ukrainian refugees.
Giffay also recalled that more than 300,000 refugees came to Berlin, of which more than 70,000 asked for a residence permit, and said that because of their number, there are problems with their resettlement.
