On Friday, November 24, the RFU confirmed the information that our team’s friendly match with Cuba will be included in the Russian Book of Records.
On November 20, in a friendly match, the Russian national football team defeated the Cuban team at the Volgograd Arena stadium with a score of 8:0. Now this match will be included in the Russian Book of Records.
The fact is that the national team set a new record. We are talking about the number of players who scored goals in one single match.
Thus, in the match against the Cubans, eight different players scored 8 goals. Alexander Golovin, Ivan Oblyakov, Anton Miranchuk, Alexander Sobolev, Alexander Silyanov, Danil Prutsev, Andrey Mostovoy, Nikita Krivtsov hit the gates of the team from Liberty Island.
We would like to add that the ceremony for entering the historic friendly match in Volgograd into the Russian Book of Records could take place as early as early December.
