The mascot of the Akhmatova Museum, the cat Kesha, has died

The Anna Akhmatova Museum in the Fountain House in St. Petersburg announced the death of the museum’s curator, Kesha’s cat.
“Today the cat Kesha, one of the mascots and guardians of our museum, passed away,” the museum said in a message on the VKontakte network.
Museum staff reported that Kesha had been ill recently. He was taken for examination, but the results of an MRI of the brain were disappointing and the veterinarians were powerless.
Kesha lived in the Fountain House for more than fifteen years. He loved to communicate with visitors and carried the burden of universal love with dignity, the museum said. Journalists filmed TV stories about Kesha, and he was also the hero of numerous publications.
