The Altan Mundarga festival has ended in Buryatia. For two days, on March 2-3, competitions in national games were held in Ulan-Ude: heer shaalgan, shagai naadan, tebeg, talaan tobsho naadan. The main prize of the festival, 1.5 million rubles, went to the representative of the Zakamensky district – Amur Gonchikov.

Just before the closing of the festival, the super final took place. Five worthy representatives of Buryatia and Mongolia came out to compete for the title of absolute champion and, as a result of a tense struggle, Gonchikov Amur won.

The fight was indeed very dramatic. The representative of Mongolia, a young guy of 17, also reached the final. And the main question was whether the prize would remain in Buryatia or go to Mongolia. The entire audience – about 3 thousand people, and all the viewers of the broadcast – 10 thousand people (cumulatively in all broadcast languages) were worried about the finalists.

Meanwhile, the guys did not resolve the issue immediately. There were three circles in which both either broke the bones, then missed or could not break. And only in the third round did Cupid put an end to the confrontation by breaking a large spinal bone.

This year the festival attracted a record number of participants, just under 1,000 people. Almost 600 of them are bone crushers. Mongolia was represented by 43 people, a team of 10 people came from Tyva. The largest number of participants came from the Zakamensky district – 210 people (21 teams). The presenters joked: “Today Mongolia and Zakamna are competing.”

Another representative from Mongolia set a record for breaking a spinal bone in 1 minute. He got a trip to Thailand. Another trip to Thailand also went to the representative of Mongolia. The representative of Tyva became the first in the game Tabeg, scoring 3333 hits. He received 25 thousand rubles.
