The Mad Fox Ultra Infinity winter ultra-trail marathon took place in Pereslavl-Zalessky

On December 16 and 17, the annual ultra trail marathon Mad Fox Ultra Infinity 2023 took place in Pereslavl-Zalessky. As part of the competition, participants covered distances from 14 km to 166 km. For young athletes, 1 km and 3 km races were held, and in total this year 2,000 athletes took to the start line.

The sports weekend was opened by ultra-trail participants: on December 16, the Valhalla Race 100 miles took place. Real extreme sports fans ran a distance of about 166 km, where ice, breakers, snowdrifts, ditches, river bends and even wild and abandoned places awaited them. Of the 250 participants in this start, only 2 people were able to finish in 28 hours.

In addition, on December 16, young trail running enthusiasts also took to the start line. For runners aged 0 to 10 years, a Fun Run race of 1 km was held, and older athletes – from 11 to 15 years old – had a Teen Ice Race 3K of 3 km.

On the second competition day, December 17, there was a 90 km race – Mad Fox Ultra 50 miles, as well as K10 and K20 races of 10 km and 20 km, respectively. The final event of this running weekend was the K40 40 km race.

In addition, as part of Mad Fox Ultra Infinity 2023, participants in the world’s first winter corporate relay race also took to the start line. This year 19 teams took part in it. Each has four people. Together they covered 40 km: 15 km in the first stage, 9 km in the second and fourth, and 7 km in the third.

On the routes of all distances, more than 300 architectural monuments awaited participants: abandoned temples, temples, the land where Alexander Nevsky was born, as well as endless snow-covered spaces and amazing nature.

The Valhalla Race 100 miles, Mad Fox Ultra 50 miles and K40 are officially certified by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA), so all 50 and 100 mile finishers have received an official ITRA rating from the International Trail Running Association.

The winners in the individual competitions were three men and three women who finished the fastest. They were awarded valuable prizes and gifts, as well as cash rewards.

In the corporate relay race, the winners and runners-up were determined in the absolute relay standings. The organizers and partners also prepared valuable prizes for them. And the team that took first place received a cup.

Well, all finishers who met the allotted limit received finisher medals and prizes from the Organizing Committee.
