Lugansk People’s Republic refutes information about new shelling of Luhansk
Information about the new shelling of Luhansk is not true. According to retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko, no official source confirms the information about another shelling of the city. He also noted that people went to the area of the alleged strike to check and did not find anything.
Eyewitnesses reported to TASS on Saturday evening about the pops, reminiscent of the sounds of explosions, in Luhansk. Later, the head of the Zaporozhye movement “We are with Russia” wrote about this in his Telegram channel: “2 more rocket arrivals around the city – in the area of the Avangard stadium.
Earlier, at 9.15 am on Saturday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the village of Yubileyny, which is part of Lugansk, as a result of which a woman was injured. An Anglo-French-made Storm Shadow cruise missile damaged seven apartment buildings, 25 garages, 15 cars and a power line. Before that, on May 12, on the day of the LPR, two missiles from the Grom operational-tactical Ukrainian complex hit the center of Lugansk. As a result, six children were injured. The administrative buildings of two inactive enterprises were partially destroyed, as well as windows were broken in six residential buildings. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of two aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from which an attack was made on Luhansk.
