The LPR announced the approach of the front line to the borders of the republic

The People’s Militia of the LPR fully controls the territory of the republic, but the line of contact is approaching its borders, said Andrey Marochko, a spokesman for the department, on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“For yesterday, the day before yesterday and today, shelling began to grow exponentially,” he said (quote according to TASS). According to Marochko, the People’s Militia, together with the allied forces, completely controls its territory, but the situation at the front is difficult, the line of contact has come very close to the borders of the LPR.
“The situation is really difficult, in some parts of the area the line of contact has come very close to the borders of the Luhansk People’s Republic and is already about 10 kilometers from the line of contact. This is very little, let’s say, for military operations, ”he concluded.
Earlier today, representatives of the LPR reported that the Ukrainian military fired at the settlements of the republic twice from HIMARS over the past day. A total of eight missiles were fired.
In Lisichansk, two people were killed during the shelling, and one more was injured. Six multi-apartment residential buildings, a boiler room and a retail facility were damaged. In Stakhanov, as a result of shelling, six apartment buildings and a school building were damaged. In the city of Perevalsk died fifteen year old teenager.
On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the release of the LPR. Now, according to him, the DPR is being released as planned. In early August, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that the Russian military, together with units of the people’s militia of the DPR and the LPR forces, managed to liberate about half of the entire territory of the republic.
