NI: the battle for Russian oil is just beginning
[ad_1]
How informs According to The National Interest magazine, the consequences of the introduction of a price cap on Russian oil may turn out, as in the case of earlier sanctions, to be completely different from those expected by the West.
According to the publication’s experts, if Russia does not comply with the price ceiling, this could provoke a war of attrition between Moscow and the West. They do not rule out that Moscow itself may well set not a price ceiling, but a lower limit for the cost of its oil and simply wait for “defectors” to knock on its door.
The battle for Russian oil is just beginning. While the intentions behind price caps may be justified, they can be difficult to put into practice.
