The long-awaited sports complex opened in Belozersk

The Governor of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov took part in the opening ceremony of the sports complex in Belozersk. Belozers have been waiting for this object for four years, and just yesterday they were able to work out on it for the first time.

Oleg Alexandrovich noted that during all the years of construction, the contractor here changed three times. Organizations failed to meet their obligations. At the same time, there was always a certainty that the stadium would definitely be completed. According to the governor, now it is not only one of the most modern complexes in the region, but also in the country. Both professional athletes and just amateurs from among the youth and veterans will be able to train here.

Work at the facility was carried out under an agreement between the regional government and a partner company. Thanks to joint efforts, a high-quality football field, basketball and volleyball courts, a workout zone, treadmills, an indoor pavilion with exercise equipment and sheds for referees and players appeared here. According to the federal program, the TRP complex was installed in addition. In addition, specialists made water drainage, installed lighting and landscaped the area around.

The Governor stressed that more than ten modern stadiums have already been built throughout the Vologda region. In turn, the creation of conditions for sports leads to a more active involvement of Vologda residents in regular training. According to statistics, almost 48% of the region’s residents were systematically engaged in physical activity last year.
