The long-awaited opening of the renovated Yunost pool is being prepared in Novy Urengoy

In the gas capital, the reconstruction of the Yunost pool has been completed, and now it is at the stage of acceptance and commissioning. This good news was announced to fellow countrymen on August 9 by the head of the city Andrey Voronov.
“There were difficulties with contractors, but now work is at the right pace. We carry out the order of our governor. Swimmers will meet the new sports season in renovated, but such familiar walls,” the head of the municipality wrote on his pages on social networks.
The two pool basins have been completely rebuilt. One of them is designed for learning to swim, the second – 25 meters – for competitions.
The roof, facade, communications, furniture and equipment have been updated in the building. The builders also erected an additional floor – a gallery for fans.
Recall that initially the reconstruction of the pool was supposed to be completed by the end of 2020. After the first contractor missed the deadline, a contract was signed with another company, but it stopped working on the facility at the beginning of 2022. The indignant Voronov then ordered to break the contract again and find a third executor, who completed work.
