One clue that scientists can find is that the planet was in the Phanerozoic stage, which would allow the planet to host large and complex life forms.

“The Phanerozoic is only the very last 12 percent or so of Earth’s history, but it covers almost all of the time when life was more complex than microbes and sponges,” Cornell University scientist Rebecca Payne told The Sun. She added that “this gives hope that it may be a little easier to find signs of life – even large and complex ones – in other parts of space.”

According to Lisa Kaltenegger, the search for planets with higher oxygen content could lead to the discovery of interesting life forms.

“I hope we find some planets that now have more oxygen than Earth, because that will make the search for life a little easier,” Kaltenegger said, “and who knows, maybe there are other dinosaurs waiting to be discovered.” they will find it.”
