A year ago, 51 people died as a result of an accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region. At the moment, it was possible to restore the mine workings, as well as the working infrastructure in order to ensure the safe operation of the mine. This was reported in the Office of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia for the Siberian Federal District (SFD).
It is noted that during the investigation, 30 people were held accountable, and four leaders of the Kemerovo mine were disqualified.
For Listvyazhnaya, about 1,900 self-rescuers were purchased – devices that miners can use to breathe in a difficult aerogas environment. Previously, about half of the dead workers faced problems with switching on self-rescuers.
In memory of the dead, a memorial complex was opened near the mine in August in memory of the dead.
