Regional authorities: the Tobol level in the Kurgan region rose by 11 centimeters in two hours

In the Kurgan region, the level of the Tobol River continues to rise. In the last two hours it has risen 11 centimeters.

As reported in the telegram channel of the regional government, the water level is now 596 centimeters.

On Sunday, Kurgan Governor Vadim Shumkov announced the upcoming evacuation due to flooding in the Nizhnyaya Utyatka microdistrict.

“Next downstream will be the city of Kurgan itself and, above all, its entire right-bank part. Along the Tyunin Highway on both sides, the water no longer leaves and is gradually replenished,” explained the head of the region.

Vadim Shumkov asked residents of flooded areas to collect the necessary things and move to safe places, without waiting for darkness: “leave immediately.”
