The level of implementation of Russian software has reached 50%

In 2022, the level of implementation of Russian system-wide and application software reached 50%. About it reports RBC with reference to a copy of the draft updated “road map” for the development of “New system-wide and application software”, which the Ministry of Digital Development developed in mid-October. The authenticity of the document was confirmed by a representative of the department.

At the end of 2022, the Ministry of Digital Development estimated the share of implementation of Russian software at the end of the year at 15%. General-system software refers to operating systems and other programs for solving common problems; application software refers to text and graphic editors, browsers, media players, etc.

In addition, in the updated draft, the department adjusted the target indicators until 2030. Thus, for 2023 the share should be 54% (instead of 23% in the previous version), for 2024 – 58% (instead of 33%), for 2025. – 63% (instead of 48%). The level of implementation of Russian software for 2030 remained the same – 71%.

From the explanatory note it follows that the target indicators were changed due to clarification of the sources of calculation and actual values ​​for 2022. A representative of the Ministry of Digital Development in a conversation with RBC stated that the adjustment took place based on data on the level of Russian software not only in government agencies and state-owned companies, but also in other organizations.

In April 2023, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, admitted that state-owned companies may be required to switch completely to domestic software by 2025. “There is already a readiness here, and the products are generally good, there are competitive positions in many areas,” – explained He. According to Shadayev, now 70% of the volume of expenses of state-owned companies should fall on Russian software.
