The level of distrust in the authorities of Japan has risen above 50 percent

The level of distrust in the Japanese government, led by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, has exceeded the 50% mark. This is evidenced by the results of a public opinion poll conducted by the Kyodo agency. Such a high figure was recorded for the first time since Kishida took office, that is, since October last year.
In a telephone poll conducted by Kyodo, 51.6% of respondents said they did not support the current composition of the cabinet.
A rating below 30% is considered a critical level in the country, as a rule, it leads to the resignation of the cabinet and the prime minister. So, Kishida headed the government after the rating of the previous cabinet headed by Yoshihide Suga dropped to 29%, which eventually led to his resignation.
The main reasons for the downgrade, observers say, are rising prices, the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at public expense, as well as the revealed ties of almost half of the parliamentarians from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party with the religious organization Unification Church.
In addition, the scandals surrounding a number of ministers also contribute to the disappointment of the Japanese. So, over the past month and a half, Kishida had to replace three heads of ministries at once.
