The length of ski slopes at the Elbrus resort in Kabardino-Balkaria will double by 2025, Sergey Nazarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, told reporters. According to him, in general, the all-season ski resort for tourists will expand.
Sergey Nazarov said that next year the number of cable cars on Elbrus will be increased to almost a dozen, and passengers will be lifted up from different points. “There will be two “cast” points up the mountain instead of one,” he said.
The plans for the next year include the improvement of three dozen eco-trails and hiking trails to sights in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria.
In turn, the head of the KBR, Kazbek Kokov, said that in the first quarter of next year, the first residents of the Elbrus special economic zone will be selected, who will be engaged in complex development here. These will be, in particular, hotel complexes in the Azau Polyana in a single architectural style.
