The 6th stage of the Russian Drift Series 2022 Grand Prix competition ended in Moscow over the weekend. An experienced driver from Krasnoyarsk, Georgy Chivchyan, known as Gocha, did not go beyond the top 16. For motorsport fans, this defeat was unexpected. This was reported on the Drift Series website.
The legendary racer from Krasnoyarsk Georgy Chivchyan, known as Gocha, enchantingly lost in the sixth stage of the Grand Prix of the Russian Drift Series (RDS-2022). He didn’t get past the top 16. Contact with Andrei Astapov prevented him from continuing the fight and led to a sensational defeat. A number of other famous riders, including Evgeny Losev and Nikita Shikov, also dropped out of the competition, not reaching the top 16. The reason is the same – contact with an opponent.
The first place was taken by 25-year-old Roman Tivodar, who, by the way, began his career inspired by Gochi’s driving style. In the final race, he overtook another legend of the Krasnoyarsk drift – Arkady Tsaregradtsev.
The next stage of RDS GP 2022 will take place in a month. On October 15-16, the name of the new champion of the Russian Drift Series will be determined at the Sochi Autodrom track.
At the end of July, a native of Krasnoyarsk Arkady Tsaregradtsev won Stage IV of the Russian Drift Series RDS GP-2022.
