The investigation of the criminal case against the former mayor of Yekaterinburg Yevgeny Roizman (recognized as a foreign agent) on discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) has been completed, lawyer Vladislav Idamzhapov told TASS. According to him, consideration of the case on the merits may begin by the end of March.
“Information (on the completion of the investigation.— “b”) are close to the truth. I do not rule out that the consideration of the criminal case against Yevgeny Vadimovich on the merits may begin by the end of March,” he said. This is how the lawyer commented on the words of journalist Alexei Venediktov (recognized as a foreign agent) that Mr. Roizman is finishing familiarization with the case materials.
The case against Yevgeny Roizman was initiated due to the posting of the video “Answers to your questions” on YouTube on July 1, 2022, where he shared a negative opinion about the military operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. By a court decision, he is forbidden to use the Internet and telephone, as well as attend public places and events.
