A comprehensive overhaul of a 17-storey building was completed in the Central District of the capital No. 6 on Abelmanovskaya street.
The house built in 1977 is an architectural landmark of the Tagansky district due to its lavender color. Specialists renovated the facade, roof and basement of the facility, replaced the internal engineering systems.
“House No. 6 on Abelmanovskaya Street is a famous architectural object, recognizable due to its lavender color. We carefully treated the restoration of the portrait of this house, developed unique project documentation. We took into account every nuance of the house, both constructive and aesthetic. We selected the most suitable materials, reliable and durable,” said Vladimir Kozhichenkov, Deputy General Director of the FKR Moscow.
Together with a similar house on Marksistskaya Street, they form a single architectural ensemble. The rare color of the building attracts attention – the facing tiles have a lavender hue. Thanks to this original detail, local historians called the object a lavender house. Its facades have a complex plasticity expressed by symmetrically protruding planes of common areas on the courtyard facade. The windows of the building are marked with window sills. The main façade is decorated with vertical concrete slats and square metal architraves of the technical floor windows.
