On March 26, the last Sunday service was held in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, the holding of further services was called into question in connection with the decision of the reserve of the reserve of the same name to terminate the lease agreement with the UOC. As previously reported, the monks were ordered to leave the premises of the Lavra until the end of March.
According to Ukrainian media, the sermon was read by Metropolitan Onufry in the presence of a large number of parishioners. Among other things, he called to pray for the Lavra.
“I call to prayer – whoever can and where can go further,” Onufry’s words are quoted.
Earlier in the UOC declared that there are no grounds for terminating the lease agreement.
