Peskov on the inclusion of Ukraine in the EU: new regions cannot be separated from the Russian Federation
New regions are inseparable from the Russian Federation. Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov spoke about the possible inclusion of Ukraine in the European Union.
It is noted that this is how he commented on the question of whether Moscow is concerned about the boundaries within which the Ukrainian side can enter into an alliance and whether conflicts will arise with new constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
“We are talking about Russian regions, an integral part of the Russian Federation. With all the consequences for those who can claim them,” he said.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asked the EU whether the bloc plans to accept Ukraine along with new regions of the Russian Federation and Russian fighters stationed on their territory. According to him, after this clarification, the process of the country’s accession to the EU will be suspended.
