President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russians on Youth Day. Kremlin published video congratulations on the night of June 24. The head of state drew attention to the fact that young people “for the most part” are involved in the military operation.
“For the most part, it is young soldiers and officers who have boldly and reliably stood up for the security and sovereignty of our state, and are courageously fighting during a special military operation. You, your peers, are well aware that love for your native country is inextricably linked with the awareness of your responsibility for its today and tomorrow,” Mr. Putin said.
The President believes that the rapid change in the world poses “the most difficult tasks” for the Russian Federation and forces “to mobilize all resources and forces.” In his opinion, such changes open up “unique opportunities” for both young people and the country. “This is the time of Russia, your time,” the head of state added.
Youth Day is celebrated in Russia every year on the last Saturday of June.
