The Kremlin has already decided who will represent Russia at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco; all information will be reported in a timely manner. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

“We will also inform you in a timely manner,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti), answering the question whether it became clear at what level Russia will be represented at the APEC summit.

In early October, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller reportedthat the United States does not expect Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in the APEC summit in San Francisco. After this, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov statedthat Russia will independently determine the level of its participation in the APEC summit. At that time, according to the diplomat, Moscow had not yet received an invitation to the event.

The APEC summit will be held this year from November 15 to 17 in San Francisco. The forum includes 19 countries and two territories, including Russia, China, USA, Japan, Canada, etc.
