New amendments to the law on presidential elections in Russia were adopted to ensure that the election of the country’s leader took place unhindered in the annexed territories. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, answering questions from journalists.
According to Peskov, there is still no exact date for the presidential elections, but we already need to think about the residents of new regions. The annexed territories require additional legislative initiatives and decisions.
Since October 2022, martial law has been in force in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
