Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the Kremlin does not consider the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow a failure of the Russian special services. According to him, department employees are working tirelessly.

“Unfortunately, our world shows that not a single city or country can be completely immune from terrorism. The fight against terrorism is a constant process that requires full-scale international interaction, but you see that now, due to the most aggravated period of confrontation, this cooperation is not only being carried out in full, but not in any way,” Mr. Peskov said in answer to the corresponding question.

Answering a journalist’s question about whether the Russian special services were carried away by the fight against other threats, Dmitry Peskov replied that the department’s employees work tirelessly and “are dealing with all the threats, all the challenges that face our country, our society.”

On the evening of March 22, in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, armed people opened fire on visitors to the center. According to the latest data, 137 people became victims of the terrorist attack, more than 180 were injured. The FSB reported the arrest of 11 people involved in the attack. On March 24, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested four perpetrators for two months. The fate of the remaining detainees is still unknown.
