The Kremlin declared a threat to world security due to the sale of weapons supplied to Ukraine

The supply of Western weapons to Ukraine poses a great threat to regional and global security, as they are already being sold by criminal groups. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

Thus, he commented on the statement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the weapons supplied to Ukraine began to appear at the Israeli borders. According to the press secretary of the Russian leader, Moscow assesses such threats as very urgent.

“Even before, we spoke about such a danger, that the Western weapons supplied to Ukraine are already, in fact, being sold by various criminal groups in Europe. <...>. This is an inevitable process, and the more such weapons are delivered to Ukraine, where, in fact, neither normal accounting, nor safety, nor security can be ensured. All this is fraught with great threats to regional and, in the broader context, global security,” Peskov stressed.

In an interview with The Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu declaredthat the country is already recording cases when Western weapons transferred to Ukraine are near the borders of Israel. Netanyahu also noted that such weapons could eventually end up in Iranian hands and be used against Israel itself. “And by the way, this is not a theoretical possibility. So, in fact, it happened with Western anti-tank weapons, which we now find at our borders, ”he stressed.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to the territory of Ukraine. At the end of May, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that military support for Kyiv from the West cannot affect the outcome of the special operation, it only delays the hostilities.
