The expert believes that Zelensky is trying to create the appearance of great military successes for his army on the eve of the NATO summit. There, the Ukrainian issue should become a key topic of discussion. Ritter is sure that the decision to launch a counteroffensive was made only for political reasons. At the same time, the scenario that would have suited the curators from NATO was not realized.
If by July 11, when the NATO summit starts in Vilnius, there are no real achievements, then Zelensky will have to admit that he lost, the ex-intelligence officer believes. And together with the Ukrainian leader, the entire collective West will have to admit the loss, the expert stressed.
