Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take place on October 6. About it reported Kremlin press service.
The leaders of the countries plan to discuss the prospects for the development of Russian-Uzbek relations, comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, as well as current regional and international problems. It is expected that as a result of the negotiations, the heads of state will adopt a Joint Statement and sign a number of interdepartmental and commercial documents.
Mirziyoyev will visit Russia on an official visit on October 5-7 at the invitation of Putin. He will also meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Particular attention is planned to be paid to expanding practical cooperation, primarily in the trade, economic, investment, migration and humanitarian spheres. In addition, Mirziyoyev will visit Tatarstan and hold negotiations with Rais of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
Mirziyoyev entered inaugurated as President of Uzbekistan on July 14, having won victory in the elections with 87.05% of the votes with a turnout of 79.8%. Congratulating his colleague on his re-election, Putin notedthat the election results indicate broad popular support for the current president’s policies.
