The build-up of China’s nuclear potential does not cause concern, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov clarified that Moscow and Beijing have a relationship of “advanced strategic partnership” and “the most advanced stage of political dialogue and economic interaction.”
Over the summer, the head of the US Indo-Pacific Command, Adm. John Aquilino, said the Pentagon was seeing “an unprecedented Chinese military buildup that is unparalleled in speed and scale.” He stated that Washington needs to take decisive retaliatory measures in connection with the actions of the PRC.
In mid-October, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the “One Belt, One Road” forum, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The leaders of the two countries discussed the special operation in Ukraine, the conflict between Hamas and Israel, as well as cooperation between the countries.
