Kremlin: Germany is heavily involved in the Ukrainian conflict

Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov commented on the statement of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz regarding the discussion by some countries of possible initiatives that could lead to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

“We are monitoring all these nuances most carefully; it does not change the essence of what is happening; Germany is already fairly involved in the conflict,” said the Russian president’s press secretary during a conversation with reporters.

According to him, all Western countries are united by a “declared political will” to provide Kyiv with support to the extent possible until the very end.

The day before, in an interview with the German MAZ, Scholz gave an interview during which he stated that a number of countries, including Ukraine, are at the level of security advisers discuss initiativesthat could lead to a peaceful settlement.
