The Kremlin will announce the new appointment of the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, in the near future, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
“No. She [судьба Дмитрия Рогозина] clear up in the foreseeable future. When it clears up, we will report,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
On July 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing Rogozin from the post of director of Roskosmos. Former Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov was appointed to this position. Rogozin headed the state corporation from May 2018. From July 2008 to March 2011, Borisov served as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, in November 2012 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense, and in 2018 – Deputy Prime Minister.
On the same day, Peskov said that over time, Rogozin would be employed. “We will inform about this in a timely manner, he will have a new job,” the spokesman said, answering the question whether the ex-head of Roscosmos would be offered any position in the presidential administration or in the system of government.
