The Kremlin announced the development of instructions on migration policy – Kommersant

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the authorities are preparing a list of instructions on the topic of migrants. He added that the current system of migration policy needs to be improved.

“You know Putin’s balanced position on the topic of migrants, it is very balanced. But, of course, a certain system is in place, but it needs to be constantly improved, which will be done, including based on the results of the direct line,” Dmitry Peskov said at the press call.

The topic of migrants, he said, is relevant and on the agenda. The authorities are now developing a list of instructions that relate to migration policy, the press secretary added.

Patriarch Kirill at the diocesan meeting in Moscow yesterday, December 20, saidthat the situation with migrants in the country has worsened, and proposed creating a special body to monitor this issue. Dmitry Peskov clarified that there is no understanding of its structure and timing of creation yet.

At the same time, he pointed out the need to create “human conditions” for migrants and determine how much funds will be allocated for these purposes. The president noted that there are currently approximately 10 million labor migrants in Russia.
