Football players from the Khabarovsk national team became winners in the all-Russian Special Olympics of Russia. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Physical Education and Sports.
The mini-football tournament “Match of Good” was held in the city of Sochi and brought together athletes with mental disabilities from 17 regions of Russia. The Khabarovsk Territory was represented by students and graduates of correctional institutions of boarding schools, who had previously won regional competitions. The games were held in an inclusive format.
“On the first day, all the guys were divided into divisions depending on the level of training of the teams. We were determined only to win, since the team included the best players from our region. Everyone is overwhelmed with emotions, first place is cool,” – noted coach Ivan Kolesnikov.
Let us remind you that in 2021 the team of correctional school No. 3 of Komsomolsk-on-Amur took second place in this tournament, and in 2022 the children from boarding school No. 10 in Bikin became third.
