During a press conference at RIA Novosti Crimea, answering a question about plans for holding the championship in 2024, the President of the Crimean Football Union Sergei Borodkin announced an expansion of the list of teams participating in the CFU Premier League.
“We are planning to increase our Premier League by at least two teams,” Sergei Alexandrovich clarifies. – Most likely, there will be 10 or 12 clubs. I’ll tell you a secret: there are already 10 clubs that are ready. If it works out, there will be 12. So that it would be convenient to play a good format in two rounds and, accordingly, play a good cup format.
Innovations are also planned for the National College Football League – 2024.
“It is possible that the KFU team will participate in our championship,” says Sergei Borodkin. – Three years ago, the question was raised that a separate team should be created that would allow the guys to train, play together and, accordingly, participate in the student tournament. I consider the fact that the guys this year, after three victories in a row, took third place, was a great success. There are no victories without defeats.
