The Karpinsky Institute explained the change of the VSEGEI logo as a rejuvenation of the agenda

The Karpinsky All-Russian Research Geological Institute (VSEGEI) in St. Petersburg has changed its logo and removed the abbreviation from its website, replacing it with the Karpinsky Institute. In the press service of the institute RBC explained that the changes were introduced several months ago with the aim of “rejuvenating” the international agenda.
- Institute named after Karpinsky belongs to the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use and is engaged in work to ensure geological mapping of the territory of the Russian Federation.
“The abbreviation VSEGEI is, without exaggeration, a brand of global significance. Many people know us precisely because of her. Among the tasks of the new leadership of the Karpinsky Institute, including the rejuvenation of the international agenda, and here the Karpinsky Institute looks more attractive than the old abbreviation,” the press service reported.
The former abbreviation of the institute will remain in the statutory documents. The press service clarified that the changes on the website are not related to legislative amendments. The change in abbreviation today, December 16, was noticed in Telegram channels.
