Autonomous non-profit organization “Center for the Development of Culture and Tourism “Own history”» from the Kaliningrad region requested RUB 14.2 million from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives for the development of the video game “Donbass. The price of life”.

Project “Donbass. The Price of Life” will become a gaming environment that will reveal the military agenda of modern Russia, explained in the ANO, it is designed to convey to the modern user the goals of the military operation. The target audience will be PC users aged 16 to 35 who speak Russian or English, according to ANO.

“To create a subject-play environment aimed at revealing the significance of the acts of aggression of Ukraine taking place on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ANO outlined the goal of the project. Its task: “To study reliable information sources in order to truthfully display aspects of Ukraine’s cruelty towards the population of the DPR, who do not agree with the Maidan, in a game product.”

Veronika Mylnikova, the head of Svoi Istoriia, did not disclose Daily Storm details of the game’s plot until the results of an independent examination are summed up. “We are planning to make an educational project for schoolchildren in the format of joint development of a video game, the plot and scene of which will be the named ongoing events,” Ms. Mylnikova said.

The application was submitted in November 2022, it is planned to develop the project from April to December 2023, the total cost of it should be 15.3 million rubles.
