NHK reported that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida spent last night at a hotel rather than at his residence for an unknown reason.
It is clarified that Kishida arrived at his residence the night before. An hour later he headed to the hotel and spent the night there.
According to sources close to the politician, this happened due to a malfunction of some equipment.
“We cannot disclose details about this malfunction for security reasons,” the source noted.
