The IX Pedagogical Forum dedicated to the professional competencies of teachers has opened in Moscow

The IX Pedagogical Forum “Personnel of the Moscow School: Motivation, Navigation, Communication” started in the capital.

During the week, its participants – school teachers, university professors, authors of school textbooks and public figures – will attend round tables, master classes, lectures and subject seminars dedicated to the preparation of qualified teachers for schools, colleges, technical schools and universities. Experts will share with visitors modern pedagogical developments and teaching methods, mentoring and motivation practices, as well as discuss with them new areas that require additional professional competencies: media communications, local history and history of Moscow, e-sports.

As Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of Moscow Ilya Novokreshchenov noted at the opening of the forum, the name for the event was not chosen by chance. Indeed, today, in the age of a huge flow of information, the role of the teacher is increasing. It should help children and adults to stay oriented in the information flow.

— To be a navigator for every child in a very complex uneven information space is the task of every teacher, and especially the class teacher. Building respectful and competent communication with our children is a serious challenge for every teacher. It is in the three key areas stated in the name of the forum – motivation, navigation, communication – that our public and professional dialogue will take place, – said Ilya Novokreshchenov.
