The Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved the application of swimmer Anastasia Kirpichnikova to change her sports citizenship before the Olympics. Match TV reports this with reference to IOC Communications Director Mark Adams.
Anastasia Kirpichnikova was born in Asbest, where she began swimming. Then she trained at the Olympic Reserve School in Yekaterinburg.
She has been training in France for the last four years.
As a member of the Russian national team, she became a champion and prize-winner of the World and European Championships. She took part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

More than 800 young athletes showed their skills in three sports: swimming, diving and synchronized swimming.
