The investigator asks the Moscow City Court to release former Deputy Minister of Education Marina Rakova from the pre-trial detention center and mitigate the preventive measure for other defendants in the case of embezzlement of more than 50 million rubles. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to information from the press service of the Moscow City Court.
The interlocutor of the agency said that on November 3, the court scheduled the consideration of “the petition of the investigator to cancel (change) the measure of restraint for Rakova M.N., Zuev S.E., Inkin M.A., Stetsenko A.V., Zaku E.M., Kryuchkova K.A.
Marina Rakova was arrested by the Tverskoy Court of Moscow at the request of the investigation on October 7, 2021. She was charged with embezzlement of 50 million rubles during the implementation of the Education program at the time when she was the Minister of Education.
